Mike-ay day 22

Trees
[Disclaimer: I do not own Mike Dirnt or Billie Joe Armstrong. This is fiction.]
They forgot to close the curtains last night, Mike realizes.
They’re in a hotel room in some town somewhere, he’s not exactly sure where. There are trees outside the window, apparently; the sunlight that falls on Billie’s back appears to be filtered through leaves.
It’s got to be a bit windy, too. The shadows are dancing across the guitarist’s naked skin. Mike could watch them make new patterns forever, but he’s distraced by Billie waking up.
The guitarist turns away from the sunshine that’s in his eyes and looks sleepily at Mike.
“Morning, Mikey... We forgot to close the curtains.”
