Wow, so it's been a while. Um. As in, over a year a while.
Thing one - I changed my username. frejasanne is now![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
obsessioncalled. (I also changed my LJ, Twitter and Tumblr to the same thing, incidentally.)
This is somewhat related to thing two: A couple of months ago, I somehow stumbled and fell headfirst into bandom, and now I can't get out! And truth be told, I also kind of don't want to. Yay bandom! (Primarily P!atD, Brendon/Spencer OTP, btw.)
So the username change is partly related to that, but I also wanted something that would work outside of bandom, and I figured "obsessioncalled" would be a pretty good username for fannish purposes in general.
So, again, frejasanne -->obsessioncalled. Now I just need to actually get back into posting here. :D?

Today is my dS anniversary! (Near as I can tell, at least - I keep track of these things largely through MSN message histories, and while the first mention of dS - due south is insane XD i'm not sure whether it's insane in a good way yet. but at least fraser has a deaf wolf. XD - was on June 18, I guess it's possible I watched it earlier than that.)
I've spent the day reading fic. I originally intended to read one new fic per pairing for my six favorite* pairings (F/K, F/V, K/V, F/K/V, Frannie/Welsh and Mike Sweeney/RayK :D), but ended up reading fifteen different pairings. Er. Oops? Oh well. Also, finding new fic for some of the pairings wasn't easy, especially Frannie/Welsh. So, anyone got any Frannie/Welsh recs?
Anyway, I could write a long post about this, but basically what it boils down to is this: I love both the show and the fandom (and related C6D-type media/fandoms!) a lot a lot! Yay! :D ♥

Good: Only three weeks left of school, as of today. (Of this semester. Years to go after that. Which I am not thinking about right now la la la)
Bad: I have two essays due, two seminars and an exam before then.
Good: BSG. Which I started watching, quelle surprise, for CKR, but I find myself quite liking the show. ("Quite liking the show" may be somewhat of an understatement.)
Bad: I don't have time to watch enough of it! I want to just burn through the last two seasons right now, but what with aforementioned school stuff, and the fact that I'm watching it withmaccadole, that is not really possible.
Good: New DS-type friends :D Hi! *waves*

So last night, I was watching Due South. Seeing Is Believing, because it is awesome.
I started capping random things a few minutes into it to send tomaccadole, and ended up with twenty caps. 17 of which were of Ray (and two of Fraser, and one of Stella, but I digress). Uh, what happened there, anyway?

I can't sleep.
This is a problem, considering I need to get up in, oh, five hours. Also, tomorrow I have a full day of school (that's eight hours, plus two hours on buses), with discussions, phonetics quizzes, and the last grammar class before the test.

Oh great. So on Tuesday I have a discussion of language and gender for my English course. Naturally I've been procrastinating when it comes to the preparation. I just looked at the list of "additional literature" for the discussion, and A, it's a lot, and B, it is supposedly "accessible on Fronter", only I'm not seeing it anywhere. Great. So now I had to email the teacher, meaning I'm basically showing her I haven't even started reading it yet, and also, I have to think of at least three questions by 2PM tomorrow, so it would be great if I could find the literature before then. But oh well. I guess there's not a lot to be done about it now. Ezcept emailing the teacher and hoping she gets back to me early tomorrow.
... This is the point where I should learn from my mistakes and stop procrastinating, right? Yeeeah, about that...
I have a feeling that's not really gonna happen.
ETA: Additional literature is uploaded. Also turns out I had the day wrong; the discussion is on Wednesday, not tomorrow. But I still have to send those questions today.

What I'd like to do right now: Go back to sleep for another, oh, three hours or so, then watch an episode or five of Due South, finish reading the two or three fics I'm halfway through, and maybe get some more stuff done in my new room.
What I have to do: Finish getting dressed, brush my teeth, spend an hour on a bus, then discuss the language of politicians and have an hour and a half of grammar. And then meetmaccadole.
All of this would be quite fine by me, really (I rather like going by bus, actually, and English, andmaccadole as well, for that matter XD) except I'm kiiiinda tired. But then, I guess getting five and a half hours of sleep will do that to you.

Other stuff... I graduated. I still spend way too much money on perfume and stuff (waiting on a lab order and two decant circle packages right now \o/). I'm rewatching ER; I started on the third season yesterday. I'm going to IKEA tomorrow.

I got my BPAL order today! And one of my decant circle packages too. Everything seems really awesome. I mean, seriously. Of the... I guess twenty or so? (ETA:22) new scents I have, there's maybe two I really don't like, and quite a few that'll very possible be favourites of mine once I've tried them. And I got... I think three? imps off my wishlist as frimps as well.
Let's not mention the fact that I managed to spill about a third of one of my bottles. First time I opened it. *facepalm*
